12 th May it was a terrible earthquake in Shichuan (China) where died around 100,000 people and so son hurt or homeless. It is very sad...everyone is trying to help their families and that is very touching. Someone on the net wanted to spread this, and it is very reasonable, because we have to help each other.
I took this from *Eternal-S's journal, who wants to donate, donate (Pray for all the victims anyways...hope you find the light into the dark...)
"Here a link which you can donate with paypal
[link] it's a sure way ! So, if you would like to make a donation via PayPal, the Jet Li One Foundation is also a good choice: The funds collected is sent directly to China Red Cross.
We would appreciate greatly if you could donate to the China Red Cross
[link] , or MercyCorps
[link] if you prefer a western organization.
You don't need to donate a lot ,5$ or less is ok tooo ^^."
Yesterday it was the ESC 2008 1st Semifinale. Some could say "Who cares??". Europe cares a lot. It is not a game of life and death, but it is very amusing.
It's hard to vote when you have got a lot of favourite countries. Mine are
-
Azerbaijan (Day after day, sang by Elnur Huseynov and Samir, espectacle, even angels and demons can enter the contest! 8D It's some deviantartish, but I love it a lot, it was my first great favourite from 2008 even without watching videoclip)
-
Russia (Ballad by Dima Bilan. This singer will be very successful in near future, in the six years I am watching Eurovision, I can say this is my favourite song of the country in ESC. One of his songs was produced by...Timbaland!! single is "No#1 Fan")
-
Armenia (Qele Qele, it's Armenian for "Let's go, let's go"! This was a sure "Qele Qele" to be in the Saturday's Finale, yet the Live was a bit improvised than the song itself. Check youtube videoclip. Good luck Shirusho, yours is a nice entry!)
-
Greece (Kalomoira ish cute <3 , she speaks like anime cute character. I love this song too, especially the instrumental in very Greek style)
-
Finland (Yay for heavies! More traditional than Lordi but still stunning! This time singing in Finnish)
I voted Russia...because I said before, because the effort. Saturday I can vote Elnur and Samir too...The Finale is hardest...You have to choose the winner, and due to it, you have to be guided by the reason. Like Aria's song, it's "воля и разум-volya i razum-will and reason".
It was like a great surprise the entry of Israel (I didn't listen to the song until the Semifinale, and Boaz has got a great voice!), Romania (Peo margine di lume...something like that, intense ballad too), Poland (yay! For Finale! Finally! Isis Gee is very smart and with great purposes, it was like Israel, 1st time I listen and nice surprise) and new incorporations to my faves. The Nederlands have got beautiful song, it's a pity not to be Saturday at finale...
Let's go now to the Joke songs...mwahahahaha
First was...Estonia with "Leto svet" the idea of including drawings of food in the song was too much!! xDDD and that Hula-hop sun...and the final figure, like a coreography from school!.
Now we go to Belgium (...it couldn't be exactly like joke song, it depends how you look it...) with "O Julissi" in invented language, mix of Medioeval and Heidi song.
Next one...the most controversial...Dustin the Turkey!!! Whoaaaaaa, drag queens and a Turkey, it looks like "The Muppets" with wannabes of Rio de Janeiro's Carnival, Irlande douze pointes Irlande douze pointes...blah blah blah [...] put your slogan in, everybody sing along! Did not passed the Semifinale (Via libre a Chiquilicuatre). The part of the Irlande douze pointes sounds like "zieben zieben ai lu lu, zieben zieben..."(I mean Verka Serduchka's "Lasha Tumbai"...).
Last was...Bosnia-Herzegovina! nice song...with joke coreography (In previous shows they showed even a hen!!!) XD
This Thursday it is the 2nd Semifinale. It won't be broadcasted in my country...why????
Some who will be there are Diana Gurstkaya (Georgia, with "Peace will come", I prefer Sopho Kalvashi's "Visionary dream" from past year, but this is not bad at all),
Deep Zone with Balthazar (Bulgaria, When the night falls down, I want you! Dj, please take me away...Take me away!

),
Charlotte Perrelli (Sweden, with "Hero" this is the favourite one at some bet pages)
or Ani Lorak ("Shady Lady", lyric about a super-heroine, or like her...)
Here are the countries which will be in Saturday's Finale and their comments about it:
